Vrindavan is a village in the Mathura region which is associated with Lord Krishna's Leela. This place is considered to be the place of the child pastimes of Lord Krishna. It is 15 km from Mathura. There are a large number of temples of Shri Krishna and Radha Rani here. The temple of Banke Vihari Ji and Radhavallabh Lal Ji's temple located here are ancient. The glory of Vrindavan is described in Harivansh Purana, Srimad Bhagavat, Vishnu Purana etc. Kalidasa mentions it in the context of Indumati-Swayamvara in Raghuvansh, while introducing Shursenadhipati Sushen, which gives a sense of the state of the beautiful gardens of Vrindavan during Kalidasa's time. According to Srimad Bhagwat, Nandji came to Vrindavan residence along with the Kutumbis and compatriots to escape the tyranny of Kansa from Gokul. This incident is mentioned in the Vishnu Purana. There is also a description of Krishna's pastimes in Vrindavan elsewhere in the Vishnupurana.

It is said that the present Vrindavan is not real or ancient Vrindavan. From the description and other references of Srimad Bhagwat, it is known that the ancient Vrindavan was near Govardhan. The site of the famous story of Govardhan-Dharan was near Vrindavan Parsauli (Param Rasasthali). Ashta Chhap poet Mahakavi Surdas lived in this village for a long time. Surdas ji has sung under the glory of Vrindavan Raja - I am not Brindavan Renu.

As soon as the name of Vrindavan comes, the mind gets pulsed. A pleasing statue of Yogeshwar Shri Krishna comes in front of the eyes. It is only by the imagination of his divine supernatural pastimes that the mind turns to devotion and devotion. Vrindavan is called the heart of Braj where Shri Radhakrishna has performed his divine pastures. This holy land has been called the best and the most secret part of the earth. For this reason, it has remained the center of reverence of devotees since time immemorial. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Swami Haridas, Sri Hitharivamsa, Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya, etc. Many Goswami devotees have spent their life decorating its splendor and presenting the world as immortal property. Here the wonderful couple of beautiful Shrikrishna and Shriradha's amazing daily vihala takes place.

In the 15th century, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu identified Vrindavan and other places related to Krishna Katha through his intuition during his Brajyatra. Rasasthali, Vrindavan with desiccation was lost in dense forests. After a few years, with the help of Chandilya and Bhaguri Rishi etc., Shri Vajranabh Maharaj set up Shrimandir, Sarovar, Kunda etc. and lighted the places of worship. But after almost four and a half thousand years all these Leela-Sthalas were lost again, Mahaprabhu Chaitanya and Shri Roopa-Sanatan etc. republished the Leela-Sthalas of Srivrindavan and Brajmandal through their revolutions. After Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, with the specific command of him, Shri Lokanatha and Shri Bhugarbh Goswami, Shri Sanatan Goswami, Shri Roop Goswami, Shri Gopalbhatt Goswami, Shri Raghunath Bhatt Goswami, Shri Raghunathdas Goswami, Shri Jeeva Goswami etc. with the help of various scriptures. , By his tireless diligence has published the Leela-Stites of Braj.
